Question by No_longer_a_corporate_mom: Are there any new and different fun baby shower games?
I’m planning a shower for my husband’s niece, and I want some games that are fun but a little bit different from the ordinary cheesy baby shower games that our grandmothers played at their showers. This is for a bright up and coming young lady (she’s in her 20′s if that matters) and I don’t think she’d enjoy a shower with all those old cheesy games. Are there any new ideas out there?

at my sisters shower they guessed how big around she was by taking a roll of toilet paper and estimating and then actually checking her with the piece they chose….
also guessing the amount of jellybeansin a baby bottle..

Question by ieatcrayons: How to politely decline invite to a baby shower?
I’ve been invited to the baby shower of a “semi-friend.” (don’t know her well enough to call her a friend, but she’s really nice and is one of my clients) Babies/children aren’t my thing, and neither are these kinds of get togethers– I just don’t do weddings, baby showers, etc. How do I decline the invite without being rude?

SImply tell her that while you appreciate the fact that she thought of you when planning her special day, you will sadly be unable to attend. You do not need to explain why and if she asks, simply tell her that it is a private matter. People have become to used to having to make excuses. Don’t! Just be polite and tell her no.
