Conception and birth is a joyous occasion that calls for a celebration. Not every woman is endowed with the gift of procreation thus childbirth is something worth celebrating. Baby showers are organized more often by close friends to welcome the new member of the family. Diaper Cakes are viewed as an attraction to look forward to in baby shower parties. Baby shower cakes may come in a variety of shapes and sizes. It can be small or even as large as one wants it to be.
It is recognized that baby shower cakes has two kinds. The first kind, which is colloquially termed as the diaper cake, is called so because it is literally made from diaper clothing. This cake may not often appear among parties as compared to the other kind, but it surely makes a beautiful present to the new born baby. It is adorned with loads of baby stuffs and garments such as diapers, pacifiers, baby bottles and many more. Baby shower cakes belong to the second kind. The main difference between the two is that the former is not suited for consumption while the other is edible.
Cake decorations add beauty and elegance to the cake. These cakes are usually beautified by various cake decorating accessories suited for the occasion. For shower cakes, to add twist and in order for it to look even more attractive it can be decorated with ornaments that would depict baby garments and stuffs related to babies. Examples include cribs, bibs, boots, teddy bears, baby bottles, baby footprints, baby books, baby blocks and many others. These cake decorations would then complement the entire cake and makes a lovely presentation making it more inviting to guests.
Cake decorations should also go with the theme for the baby shower since it would determine the decorations that will be embellished on the cake. A wide array of themes can be utilized including the most conventional which are based on the gender of the baby. It could also be themes designed for both genders. Baby shower cakes however it is presented, definitely makes the party more festive and alluring.
